Objectively the most thirst-quenching beer we’ve ever brewed, SeaQuench Ale is a session sour mash-up of a crisp Kölsch, a salty Gose and a tart Berliner Weiss brewed in sequence with black limes, sour lime juice and sea salt. The result? A citrusy-tart union that has captured the attention and hearts of beer, wine and margarita drinkers alike!

After a full year of research and development, the blissfully inefficient SeaQuench Ale hit the mark and the mood we were looking for. With a touch of salt on the tongue and a bit of malt sweetness in the finish, SeaQuench Ale is as unique as it is refreshing and █████████ and perfect to down the whole year round.

Can. Pretty tart sour - enjoyed on a golf course and was perfect crisp, refreshment needed. Enjoyed it

5 week old can > tulip A: Hazy medium gold with a tight 1/2" head. Fair retention but little lace and the head dissipates completely to no bubble ring, looking flat. S: Hay, lime and cereal nose with some yeasty funk. T: Tart and slightly salty with some wheat. Lime lingers. Subtle flavors, not too sour. Doesn’t taste like beer but OK. M: Light medium body, average carbonation. Refreshing. O: I could drink these. Better than any gose I’ve had. Not bad.

Sad this this is a top 50 gose as I might just kill that designation in a minute. This is my first DFH rating since Sam Calagione made an ass of himself. No, Sam, I’m not a journalist. Yes, I am a seasoned beer drinker who wishes to try your products. And yes, I am an admin too. So, because you’re going to attack MY integrity, I will sort of respond in kind. Due to your over the top response to the ZX ventures news, I’m going to cut the overall score IN HALF! Why? Because you’re a fucking asshole, and you have absolutely no right to determine how or where I rate your beers. Just be glad I’m still paying money for this tick, you dick. Now onto the beer. 12 ounce can from Riley’s in Madison. Canned 4/14/17, purchased less than 3 hours ago. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of lime, salt, pale malt. The taste is lemon, lime, brine, salt. Medium bodied, refreshing. Nice beer. This would have been a 3.7 (7/4/7/4/15) but because Sam had to speak up and insult my integrity and intelligence, its actually a 2.9 (7/4/7/4/7). Yeah Sam, I’m not going to continue this tax with future ticks, but you have damaged your reputation with me forever. Enjoy. EDIT: yes, no longer a top 50 gose. Too bad...

12 oz. can, pours a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Nose brings out lots of lime, a nice saltiness and lacto. Flavour is along the same lines, with a lovely coriander character upfront, followed by citrus, salt and lacto. Wonderfully structured and perfectly balanced. Exactly how I love my goses. Excellent.

Can. Hazy yellow with a thin scum of white for a head. Foul sour aroma. The flavor has tart lemon, salt, and water. Another that Sam has lost me with.

Pale, super hazy golden coloured body with a ridiculously large pure white head and a nice glow, probably one of the (if not the single) best looking goses i’ve ever seen. Aroma of pale malt, sea water, salt, light funk and some wort - very mild in the nose. Light-bodied; Super subtle salt and funk flavours noticeable with the very faintest hit of sour funk and fruit noticeable, but this is basically just some salt water with carbonation and a touch of funk. Very mild in the palate with the funk, yeast and bread noticeable and that’s about it on top of a minor sour quality and some salt water. Overall, nice for an easy-drinking beer, but this doesn’t really have much character - salt water and carbonation and that’s about it- some mellow funk and sour notes, but not enough to make this worthwhile, which is sad, because it looks great! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop (20th Street Location) on 22-February-2017 for US$2,59 sampled at home in Washington a few blocks away on 23-April-2017.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky apricot color with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was yeasty, tart and citric. The flavor was tart lime, lemon, salt and yeast. Long finish. Light body.
