12oz bottle pours a hazy amber with some creamy, white head. Nose has plenty of caramel, some malt, a little resin, then pine, soap, herbs. Flavor is sticky with pine and soap, lemon, grapefruit, some honey, some caramel. Chewy, full bodied finish.

Sample at BW3 as part of Ohio Brew Week. The beer pours a slightly murky orange color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing. Piney hops, fruit and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, tropical fruit and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle. Light smoke, lactic caramel malt and pine/grapefruit peel aroma. Golden yellow with nice head and lacing. Sweet smoky caramel malt and moderately strong pine/grapefruit peel flavor. Excellent.
