Flaske 500ml på Blå Rock Cafe Tromsø. Lys guldengulbrun. Litt uklar. Høyt kritthvitt skum. God sitrusaroma med hint av krydder. Smaken passe søt. Litt sitrus. Litt banan.

Slightly hazy golden body with a fine, stable white head. Aroma is like a wheat beer with Christmas spices and oranges. Flavor has the wheat beer as a base, but citric fruit, oranges, Christmas spices, yeast and moderate bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste like main taste. Feels quite light and easy to drink, still pronounced with spices and fruit in a subdued balance. Nice and interesting.

Bottle. It’s a lightly hazy one, golden in color and with a small, firm off-white head that leaves some lacings. The aroma has a clever blend of citrusy, piney hops and Christmas spices, some lemony notes and light bready malts in the back. It has a subtle and suitable bitterness, it’s dry and perhaps a bit heavy on the carbonation, with piney notes, cloves and a touch of orange peels. There’s something exotic about it too, but I can’t put my finger on it, it’s just a hint. Medium to full body and a lasting bitter and orange peel finish with a faint hint of cloves and cardamom. Sure a different Christmas beer on the Norwegian market, bearing the typical Nøgne signature, and with the extra ingredients used very wisely. Gonna have to get hold of more of these. 151020
