Draft @ Twenty Tap. Caramel malt and sweet orange-grapefruit aroma. Has that typical FFFs IPA aroma thing going on. Clear amber with a large white head. Sweet caramel malt, piney orange-grapefruit hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. At first I didn’t get any Belgian character out of this one, but as it warmed a little Belgian yeast seemed to develop.

Draft. Orange-pineapple malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet tangerine malt and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Light body. Nice.

Draft into a tulip glass at the brewpub. orange brown color. Massive head which fades out after a minute, leaving the glass 1/5 empty. Sweet subdued aroma. Herby, sugary, yeasty tastes. Smooth, mellow carbonation. The yeast dominates a little too much in my opinion, lacks subtlety. Sugary, somewhat typical of US-Belgian beers.

On tap at the brewery Dark Lord Weekend. A long-lasting creamy white head crowns this slightly cloudy, medium gold brew. Fragrant aroma, flowery, spicy, herbal. Some lavender. The flavor is slightly sweet with a flowery finish. Quite different. Nice.

Draft tulip at Floyds. Puffy Belgian head, which is starting to leave a lot of lace behinf already. Pils colored, but again with a bit of haze. Smell still shows the usual Floyds hop slap and a touch of yeast. Taste is hoppy at first, then firms up in citrus hops that slide in some citrus from the Belgian malt and yeast. Good Belgian pale ale taste, maybe thrown off style by Floyds addicition of alphas, but that’s to the advantage of us beer geeks.
