12 oz. bottle, brought to Ale Alpharetta by Hamp. Pours clear, light brown, with a small, tan head. The initial nose is some nice caramel malts, followed quickly with wet grass, light milk chocolate, and pine. Watery, sweet flavor, with an awful aftertaste. Light to medium body, pretty smooth, and watery. This gave me a little hope with initial aroma, but turned out weak and unpleasant.

12 oz bottle from the variety pack. Aroma is doughy, caramel. Pours clear amber with a collapsing off-white head. Taste is malty sweet with caramel prominent; a bit toasty. Highly carbonated, a little watery. Okay for style, but that’s not saying much.

Bottle: Clear copper with a thin, off-white cap. Caramel malt aroma. Toast, berry, caramel taste. A little chocolate....sweet... Mostly caramel and water... Not that good.

Bottle: Pours amber with a thin beige head, astounding clarity. Mild aroma is sweet and malty… hints at metallic. Not a lot to the taste, reminiscent of the standard pale lager with pronounced finish. Maybe a little woody too. Really it just reminds me of Budweiser with a tan.

Bottle. Chocolate-caramel malt aroma with hint of astringency. Amber with small head. Sweet caramel malt and mildly bitter astringent flavor. Not a bad effort - does have some bock characteristics.

GABF 2013. Pours an orangish appearance with a cream colored head. Lightly toasted malty, cracker, fairly herbal, corny aroma. More corn in the flavor along with herbal grassy notes. Beechwood gives it an authentic Bud flavor. Not all that bad but the corny notes don’t help.
