The brewmaster's goal: the perfect ale for summertime quaffing, nothing more. SummerBright is the result. The craftsman's touch combines white wheat, two row pale and munich malt with the pacific northwest's most intriguing hops to create a bright, clean ale ideal for picnicking, evenings on the screen porch and enjoying the whims of the summer breeze.

Pours opaque gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with little retention recedes leaving scant spots. Marshmallow and lemon aromas. Soft with marshmallow, lemon and wheat. Lasting dusty yeast finish.

12oz bottle. Hazy orange-tan. Steady, creamy, off-white head. Smooth malt tones, some zesty lemon as well. Very easy drinking, clean and fresh. Some faint dry wheat tones. An almost artificial tangerine taste in the background as well. Decent, but not one I’d seek out again.

Old bottle: Coriander and canned green beans smell. Clear golden, headless. Sugared dandelion, with a touch of marigold in the end. Balanced and refreshing. Nicely hopped for a summer beer, more than usual for the style. Very nice, could use more intensity though.

Hazy gold pour - soapy lace - tangy, lemony aroma, with underlying toasty grains/wheat and a little bit of honey sweetness - light, crisp, with tangy citrus throughout - fairly well balanced by a sturdy enough malt base that doesn’t overpower or make the beer too heavy - very subtle hop bitterness on the tail end - the finish is a little messy, but otherwise this is a fairly light and enjoyable summer brew.

Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s this beer poured a pale yellow color with a medium sized white head that lingered and produced some lacing. The aroma was dry and musty with a bit of cardboard. The flavor was tart, tangy and lightly bitter with some faint nutty malts, a bit of biscuit and hints of cardboard and citrus. The finish was long, bitter and dryish. Light to medium body. Eh.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow golden with a medium frothy white head that leaves decent spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a light wheat and citrus. Thin mouthfeel with a light bitter hops and citrus. Easy to drink, a decent wheat from Breckenridge.

12 oz bottle from SuperMarket Liquors, Cheyenne, WY! Nose of wheat, light fruity esters, light flowery hops, and a very faint clovey hint; very lightly hazy gold with a medium white head; flavor is light hop bitterness, faint pears, light grainy wheat, and mild sweetness.

Bottle from D&J Liquor in St. Louis, MO. Pours a light amber color with a slight white head. Aroma is dusty and grainy. Near medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is a bit of light stone fruit, a touch of citrus, and some breadiness. It’s interesting, and likely good with summer grilling.

Wet raggish aroma, somewhat spicy, like a few wheatbeers. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and appearance. Clean friendly taste, enjoyable and friendly. Industrially clean and refined. Provides a relative uplift. Good creamy carbonation. IMHO good session brew. Must be very filtered, no precipitants in this wheat, it’s clear. Finish is non assuming and short, a mild mannered beer. If I didn’t know better I would think this is a fine pale lager.
