The brewmaster's goal: the perfect ale for summertime quaffing, nothing more. SummerBright is the result. The craftsman's touch combines white wheat, two row pale and munich malt with the pacific northwest's most intriguing hops to create a bright, clean ale ideal for picnicking, evenings on the screen porch and enjoying the whims of the summer breeze.

Bottle. Eh, okay beer. Nothing special about it. Generic American wheat aroma, with about the same in terms of flavor.

From bottle, at the Balmoral Brewhaha. Wheats are sure catching on around here, ain’t they? Anyway, this one is suitably pale in color, but poured with a thin head uncharacteristic of the style. Taste first shows just a hint of traditional hefe flavors, a little banan with a spritz of lemon and a melange of spices. I can pick out the wheat character much better, and can find it quite to my liking.

Meh. This has an artificial feel to it. Gold, lots of bubbles rising up to a very small but lasting head. There are several flavors but none stand out as being very good. There is light wheat, honey, and lemon. Heavily carbonated and sweet. Tastes like something from Hopback.

Slightly hazy straw-colored body, thin off-white head. Wheaty aroma (wet hay, a touch of citrus, and a touch soapy). Sharply carbonated, tangy palate, with light wheat citrus notes. Overall, fairly thin and nondescript. This beer scores "adequate."

Slightly hazy blonde golden coloured body with bright orange tints and very little of an off-white head-the beer looks still! Bright grapefruit hops in the aroma with malt and some sugars. Light-bodied; Mild malt flavour with wheat & a very small amount of hops showing through! Aftertaste clrean & fresh, but not great, as it is so bland! Overall, not recommended at all-pas this one up for a real summer beer! I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased at Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 28-August-2004 at the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

An above average American Wheat. Light fruit in aroma with maybe peach and banana. Zesty wheaty flavor with light banana, otherwise clean palate. Lighty dry finish. Pale gold color, no head. Its zestiness and mild ester presence make it worthwhile for an otherwise uninspiring style.
