Can from Munich Airport, at Home, 6th November 22. Pours a clear golden beer. Aroma is straw and fresh grass. Taste is clean and crisp. Mellow, bitter and some hay, light aromatic, not bad at all

Tap at a lovely beer garden. Golden clear. Grassy sweet. Fresh and bitter. Could be a bit crisper. Tad too sticky.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear golden colour with a large thick throthy white head. Aromas of cereals, hay and doughy bread. Taste is the same notes again with a slightly sweet finish. Medium body, low carbonation and oily mouthfeel. Very drinkable but average Helles.

On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a lemon yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Malts and corn in the nose, and these eventually appear in the flavour too. Before that there is a brief fruity sharpness in the mouth until sweetness and honey take over. Texture is syrupy, and it is pretty highly carbonated. Finish is sweet. It’s reasonable – at least it got the taste of the awful previous beer out of my mouth !

Can. Clear yellow/gold with a righteous fluffy white head. Aroma of grains, bread, some grass and floral hops with hints of metal. Taste follows aroma plus minerals and malts. Just slightly spicy with a subtle bitterness. Medium carbonation. Very süffig. An all around nice Helles.
