A seamless network of tracks, the covert trolley system of the 1920’s was the ticket to an American revolution, the revolt of Prohibition. Connecting underground speakeasies, mobsters teamed with bootleggers to distribute barrels of their precious brew. Let your palate travel the underground flavor network of this Belgian style wheat ale. Bright flavors of orange balanced by subtly spicy coriander make this unfiltered ale a reason to celebrate. Raise your glass for "This is a plea for beer!"

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy dark gold with minimal head. Aroma of dank wheat with coriander and a little lemon citrus. Taste is light sweet. Corriander with a hint of citrus. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, its ok. Nothing super zpecial but drinkable.

Bottle. Lemon and light malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large head. Lightly sweet lemon and wheat malt flavor with just a hint of coriander in the finish. Tastes like a mediocre wheat ale.

Cloudy, yellow gold with a large white head. Moderately sour orange, lemon, yeast aroma. Taste is watery, bland....with an unpleasant citrus/yeast sourness. Dull, lifeless.

Bottle. Bready-yeasty wheat malt, cardboard, and orange aroma. Cloudy straw gold with a large white, flocculation. Stale wheat malt, orange, and stale spice flavor. I think it might be an old bottle. Body on the light side of medium, soft carbonation.

Bottle from a Save-Mart. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Light citrus/spice aroma. Very light. Near med body - foamy carb. Flavor is bready with some mild spice and citrus. Not harmful. Except to the liver.

Harris teeter, DC sixer ($8): Pours an orange color with an ok looking white head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, and almost boozy. I was surprised when people said there was no yeast to speak of, when that is mostly what I get. Overall, in tasting this, it is a very unbalanced wit. There are some unbalanced wits that go in the directions of awesome weirdness. This doesn’t. Sweet, nasty cider fruitiness, and some industrial chemicals. Not my glass of beer fo sho.

12 ounce bottle from Harris Teeter Barracks Rd. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a thin creamy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of faint wheat, faint spices and a bit of apple. The taste is wheat, citrus, apples, faint spices. Thin-medium bodied.

Slightly hazy golden blonde coloured body with a thick white head. Aroma of pale funky malt, rice, light curacao and a touch of sweetness - nothing too strong about this - some subtle wit type smells, not much though. Light-bodied; Funky malt flavour with a bit of coriander seed freshness noticeable with a little curacao and orange taste and a very minor cardboardie malt taste - no wheat to speak of and the yeast is non-existent here. Aftertaste shows a decent amount of mild flavours with some cardboard and a touch of sweetness noticeable. Overall, not such a great beer - but that was to be expected when the label reads Rochester, New York. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Eclipse at Potomac Yards and Crystal Drive), Virginia on 18-July-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 04-August-2011.
