Hopscure is the 4th taste expression released under this label to mark the 10th anniversary of 'Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor'. The refined balance between 5 hop types and roasted malts lends the beer a unique floral aroma and a pleasant bitterness at the finish.

Bottle 750ml. corked @ home. [ As Het Anker Gouden Carolus Indulgence 2018 - Hopscure ].Dark red brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, dark malt, caramel, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, citrus, light pine, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, fruity yeast, dark malt, fruity hops, citrus - grass, light pine. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Flaska från SB. Mahognynrin med medelhögt beige skum. Doft av mörk sirap med grön humle. Söt smakbild men ändå riktigt torr. Lite lakrits, torr kakao, mörka apelsinskal, kavring. Lite märklig som en mörk trippel.

0.75l bottle. Dark brown body with a beige head. Aroma and taste of cocoa, toast, licorice, orange zest and a tiny bit of floral hops. Great one.

Deep dark brown colour, large beige-ish head; aroma of pine, cocoa powder and cake with burnt plum jam; taste has the same notes woth syrupy-caramel sweetness, some licorice and definite hoppiness; great one! Thank you very much for sharing, kapusil!

Bottle @ Blandede Belgiske Bolscher, Ratebeer Odense, 2018. Dark red chestnut with a big off-white head. Aroma of toffee and licorice with herbal and spicy notes. Sweetish roasted flavour with spice and licorice and a touch of herbal hops. Nice medium bitter finish.

Bottle @ Blandede Belgiske Bolscher, Ratebeer Odense, 2018. Pours Amber Brown with a large frothy beige head and lacings. Vague roast, dried fruit and Grassy and citrussy hops. Smooth and Dry finish. Hints of metal.

True dark amber to mahogany; towering dense yellow-amber head, very slowly receding with lace. Good hops' aroma, some caramel even toffee, bit dusty, dark green leaves, melanoidins. Bitter, woody, bitter chocolate, not really fruity hops. Some meaty esters, again melanoidin overload, woody wryness. Well bodied, creamy MF, well-carbonated. The wryness keeps in the mouth, giving long lasting flavouring but also astringency. Again not really outstanding, let alone adventurous, just plain decent.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy mahogany colour, rich firm head. Aroma of banana, herbal spices, floral hops and aniseed. Relatively dry with medium-full body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Aniseed and floral hops. Long bitter finish. Elegant.
