Reddish Brown, Big Head Dissipated Rather Quickly Leaving Lots Of Lacing. Subtle Pine Aroma. Malty, light sour middle that turns into light hoppy bitter. Up Front seems medium body, while at finish seems a lot lighter and more watery. Nice. Worth a Try.

Bottle. Coppery pouty with a decent head and aromas of caramel and herbal hops. Maybe a little bit of a floral edge to the nose. Flavor is malty and them takes an odd twist to old lady floral soapy hops. Meh.

Pour is a hazy brown with a small white head. Aroma is a nice earthy malt with some toffee and noticeable hops. Flavor is black bread with some caramel and molasses. Finish leaves some floral hops with some of the earthy malt. This is a decent beer. Kind of strange choice for an anniversary beer but it fits the style

Tap. Pours clear deep amber, creamy medium beige head that dissipates slowly with great lacing. Aroma is caramel, grain, pine, grass. Flavor is similar, light sweet with a medium bitter bite. Decent for the style for sure.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber orange with a grayish brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a nice grassy hop note with a bit of pine and an underlying sweet grains. Flavor has a nice grassiness with a bit of pine and sweet grains/light fruits.

Enjoyed from bottle while bottling some Apfelwein with a friend in Chicago, IL. I didn’t take tasting notes, but remember this being just like Honkers Ale except with a different hop variety. It’s good stuff, because Honkers Ale is good stuff.

12oz bottle. Amber-brown body, frothy off-white head. A pretty decent ESB, relatively thin bodied for an American example, more along the lines of a regular Amber ale at times. Smooth nutty, toffee malt tones. Well balanced, fresh, but rather mundane for an anniversary beer. Drinkable and in line with the rest of the GI line up.
