Bottle.color was golden with a little head. Aroma was molasses (agave?). Taste was molasses and too sweet. Ok beer but won’t drink again.

12 ounce can. Honey gold color. Fluffy white head. Sweet corn syrupy malt aroma. Sweet fruity malt flavor has notes of agave and honey. Hints of hay and grassy hops. Medium body. Refreshing, but not complex.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold, with a big, bubbly, off-white head. The aroma is honey, melons, strong floral notes, and some light esters. Very sweet flavor, with little balance. Light to medium body, slightly creamy, and a little acerbic. Overall, this is a pretty nice, flavorful, and drinkable beer, but it comes across a little too strong on the fruity aromas, and is much too sweet.

Bottle. A- Orange, agave, wheat. A- Orange color, clear liquid, white head. T- Orange, subtle agave, wheat. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Not much difference from a normal Blue Moon. Slightly sweet and lacking a lot of flavor.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Maierovicz’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear golden. Aroma of cardboard, a bit of fruitiness and some spiciness. Sweet flavor with cardboard, spiciness and a bit of fruitiness (a bit citric). Rather light-bodied.

Bottle: Shimmering golden pour, good clarity with lots of tiny bubbles, and a fizzy white head. Nose is malty, sort of grassey, and a little sweet. At first sip, I’m taken back in awe of the sweetness. A little grassey and some hints of malt; it gets a tiny bit metallic before ending in a rush of sweetness. Must be the agave nectar... I’ve had agave before, but this is way sweeter than I recall. Where is the malt or wheat to balance this out? Too sweet.

My last random beer of the night. Blue Moon’s Agave Nectar Ale. 5.6% bottle from Sugaya. On popping it open it smells like a Bud, not a good start! Poured into a weizen glass which revealed a very clear yellow gold beer though it looks like a Bud. The aroma gave me some cream soda notes, a bit of spice & yes possibly some agave. The full bodied mouthfeel is nice but the taste is super sugary, crushed grain & a touch of spice. I feel like I am drinking a soda, what a let down...

12 oz. bottle. Pours clear and gold with a tall, frothy, white head with moderate dissipation. Smell has a very sweet characteristic with aromas of caramel and citrus. Taste is lightly sweet with flavors of agave on the back end. Has a medium body with a thin texture. Carbonation is average and the finish is slightly sweet.
A good beer for sipping by the pool on a hot day. Just don’t let the beer get too warm or else it starts to get sticky sweet.

Bottle, 12oz. It’s a more or less clear one, only slightly hazy, and topped by a small, dense, white head leaving some lacings. The aroma is rather weak, with a fruity touch and some faint spiced and citrusy hints. Weak flavor too, mostly on the fruity side, with a little sweetness in the back. Quite low on bitterness. Medium body, soft and velvety, in a strange way, sort of oily, but that’s not the correct term. Short fruity finish with some sweetness and a peachy hint. Well, it’s not that it’s bad, it just don’t appeal to my tastebuds. 130829

Clear Gold Color, Medium Head, Decent lacing. Faint Aroma that probably could be attributed to Agave. Seems more like a standard lager than a wheat ale. Mostly Nondescript and subdued. Slightly Sweet, Malt, Faint Bitter. Aftertaste: that once again could be attributed as agave. Drinkable, but nothing impressive... Original Blue Moon Belgian is better by far. Lets Hope their brew master does not visit Russia or it might inspire him to make another seasonal... Potato Nectar Ale or Borscht Nectar Ale... Pass it...
