Refreshing crisp beer made with 60% malted wheat and lemon grass, resulting in a grassy wheat flavor with hints of citrus. We used our Midwest malted Harrington malt, caramalt, malted wheat, and Perle hops. Well balanced beer for the end of a long days work, light and refreshing.

On tap. A-grain/wheat. Slight spice. Taste-follows, hops may be a bit in the background.

Another can courtesy of Trent. Thanks you!

Cool! It has a ring tab that pulls the entire top of the can off. A first for me!

It pours a hazy yellow orange with a 3 finger head of foam.(pulled straight from the fridge)

It has a spicy nose to it. Loads of lemon grass and citrus, thinking coriander, pepper. Yeasty, wheaty, that’s a heck of a good smell.

The taste follows the nose and does not disappoint. Other than what I mentioned above, I’m quite impressed with the body, mouthfeel, and drinkability. The fact that it is only 4.2% abv is icing on the cake.

This is delicious. --- Beer merged from original tick of Farmer's Daughter Wheat Ale on 06 Aug 2014 at 15:20 - Score: 8. Original review text: About a 4.2, the same as its abv. It's delicious! Thanks, Trent! Btw, 1st can where you can pull the top off.

Bottle. Hazy deep gold with orange highlights. Off-white head. Light aroma of lemongrass, grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Muddled flavors and a bit unclean.

Fresh 12 oz. bottle thanks to queenholly. Cloudy gold with very thin white head. Nose is pleasant. Aroma and flavor mirrors each other. Sweet malt, lemongrass and malted wheat. A very light tartness. Light body with a clean finish. Decent.

Bottle. Wheat malt and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with small head and light effervescence. Light wheat malt and moderately bitter orange peel hops flavor. Would have liked more malt.

draft at the brewery - Pours cloudy straw colored with a small white head. It smells of spicy yeast and mild wheat. The flavor is similar but also has something quite off about it. I’m getting a band aid characteristic that really doesn’t work. It’s light bodied and mildly bitter. I can’t recommend it though. They also had a version of this beer with lemon grass added. The grass was very subdued and it was hard to tell the difference between the beers with and without lemon grass.
