Eagle lager clear beer has historically been very expensive in Africa, with the average consumer needing to work over 4 hours before earning enough to buy a 500ml mainstream brand.

Thanks you tderoeck! Bottle tasted @ RBBSG 2018. Clear super pale golden. Nose is oddly sweet grain, sugar,.. Taste is dull grain, oily, bit oddly sweet, grain, bland, dash candy, yeast, not as weird as I hoped for a sorghum beer, my fits I think.

6/X/18 - 375ml bottle from a trade, shared @ late RBBSG, Brouwerij Totem (Evergem), BB: n/a - (2018-1567) Thanks to Jan for the trade!

Clear pale blond to copper beer, big creamy white head, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very malty, bit infected and dirty, unpleasant. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty, bit sweet, grains, unpleasant bitterness. Aftertaste: very malty, cow fodder, some citrus, sweet and sugary.

Bottle generously transported by S.C., thank you ma’am. Golden color, small white head. Aroma of pepper and licorice. Taste is straw, hay, light spice. Interesting.

Bottled. Pale golden, thick airy head. Aroma of mashed banana and a bit of that sorghum smell that reminds of very stale beer left in the sink. Fruity, sweet and medium bodied. The addition of sugar is evident, while the hops can hardly be noticed. The sorghum is mostly noticed in the aroma, then it appears to be just another adjunct lager. No bitterness. I can’t say I enjoy it.
