This collab with Horus Aged Ales is a massively decadent imperial stout which we loaded with mountainous heaps of coconut and 5 different vanilla varietals. Mexican, Madagascar, Ugandan, Tahitian, and Indonesian vanilla, to be exact. It's a soaring symphony of dessert flavors that enchants the palate and warms the cockles.

Bottle at Ryan's
Black colour. Aroma of nuts, vanilla, sweet chocolate. Very sweet; sweet chocolate flavour, caramel sauce, dark sugar, nuts spread.
Good, but missing complexity.

22oz (thx, Brian S.!) @ Ryan's shared with Farees and Alex. Appearance: dark brown with almost no head. Aroma: fruity, sweet, roasted coconut, no vanilla. Taste: along the same lines, a bit sludgy. Overall: ok, but nothing spectacular.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Coconut and vanilla, mild booze, touch of chocolate, quite sweet (maybe a bit too sweet). Tasty, but not as many layers as other MT beers.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours black with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong coconut and molasses. Slick body, vanilla, coconut, roast, boozy, very nice.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle from 2021. Aroma is adjunct forward with lots of peanut butter and vanilla. Quite a bit of chocolate and a bit lighter roast notes. Medium light bourbon and alcohol notes with light oak notes. Pours jet black with a small, faint, dark mocha head that recedes quickly and disappears. No lacing and sheets instead of legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with loads of chocolate malt notes and moderate roast notes. Light caramel notes with some toffee and bitter chocolate. Medium bitterness and moderate alcohol notes. Fairly strong peanut butter notes with a lighter vanilla note. Medium light bourbon and hints of oak. Mouthfeel is full bodied with low carbonation. Low astringency and moderate alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid beer with solid adjunct notes. Plenty thick with great malt character. Scent bourbon notes. Note: this vintage is 14.7% per the bottle.

It's a bit of a stupid amount of coconut and vanilla sweetness. Like hostess amount of pastry sugar. Nice for sipping but dunno about a whole 750ml of it.
