Aged on vanilla and cinnamon in whisky- and cognac barrels.

8-4-8-4-16 Bottle. Pours black, with a small mocha head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, with spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom and anise seeds, as well as notes of cocoa. Creamy body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is dark malts with dark fruits, as well as spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom and dark liquorice.

Svart med fingerhøyt lys brunt skum. Lukter kokos, kanel, julekrydder, mørk sjokolade, vanilje, blomster og mørke frukter. Fyldig. Lett bitter mørk sjokolade, kanelen er framme hele vegen, fatlagringen kjennes, vanilje, trevirke, noe floralsk, lett kaffe og melasse. Alkoholen er godt kamuflert, men fylden er absolutt der. Oljete. Middels lang.

Taste is sweet spiced, dark sugar, booze, cinnamon, cardamom, fruit stones, raisins, dark malts, dusty licorice, oak, bark, seaweed, cough syrup, caramel, old rope. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly sweet sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Lovely!

Bottle, at Både&. It pours a black body under a small tan head. Some lacing. Alcohol, booze, cinnamon, burnt malts, roasted malts, molasses, hints of cough syrup, rum, licorice, brown sugar and vanilla. It's full bodied, warming and with lots of sweetness. Coffee, brown sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, chocolate, rum, caramel and molasses in the flavor. Lasting finish with lots of dark sugar, chocolate, caramel, licorice and some rum. A delicious beer indeed, sure needs an hour to finish a bottle. 190126
