Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels

Our infamous Black Tuesday® stout is named in honor of the great stock market crash of 1929. So Happens It’s Tuesday is similarly dark and delicious, but in a more affable format, reminding us that there is always a bit of good to be found within the bad. Things happen, life goes on. This beer can be enjoyed in all of those moments and seasons.

Pint can, 2019 vintage. Roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate, caramel, oak, vanilla and bourbon. Pours inky black with a half a finger of mocha brown head that has good retention and thin ring of lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt, chocolate and oak flavors as well as having a rich, full body and slick, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth with caramel, vanilla and bourbon flavors as well as a nice booziness that warms the belly without being too harsh. Not quite as rich as the black Tuesday, but fantastic nonetheless.

Pitch black as expected, a bit of carbonation, no head to speak of. Roasty bourbony aroma. Sweet, strong, malty, roasty. Lots of boozy bourbon. Not as rough as that sounds, quite enjoyable.

12oz crowler from Holiday Market. Pours an oily, pitch black with a small bit of brown foam that dissipates quickly. Big sticky nose with oak, vanilla, marshmallow and bourbon aromas with cacao nib, prune and fig as it warms. Full bodied with warming alcohol on the palate. More cacao nib, caramel and vanilla oak notes on the palate. Warming finish with lingering bourbon, molasses and cacao nib.
