Pours matt black, with little bit of brown foam. Smells lots of honey licorice, hint of sherry. Thick and sticky. Taste is heavy bitter, with loads of licorice, and honey for sweetness. Currants add some acidity. Very (too?) light on the barrel. Intense. The intense, deep roast and licorice flavours remind me of Vibrant Forest stouts.

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, chocolate, honey notes, blackcurrant, light wooden barrel notes, light sour notes, light to medium sweet and bitter. Full body, malty chocolate with all those flavoures bitter sweet finish and alcohol warming notes. Good, but too much additional ingredients in it.

Svart. Lavt brunt skum som daler sakte. Lett honningaroma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken innholdsrik. Lakris. Sjokolade. En anelse honning ligger under. Lett - pikant tørt alkoholinnslag i avslutninga.

Bottle at a tasting. Pretty intense. Full body, lots of sweetness, chocolate, toffee. Not much in terms of deep roast. Light liquorice. Hints of dark fruit. Actually pretty good, though unbalanced, too heavy, even a bit boozy, lacking any bitter/roasty counterpoint.

Bottle shared thanks to puttetjes. Very dark brown with brown head. Indeed a lot of honey, licorice, sweet malts, bourbon, sherry, blackberries, figs, light earthy, soft herbs and dry flowers. Quite sweet, medium bitter and light fruity sourness. Almost full bodied with slick feel.

Bottle at home, thanks @puttetjes. Black with light tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, honey, rye, roast, nutty with fruity edges. Big sweet and bitter. Full body, smooth, very nice.

Kersenschilletjes, hout, roosterig, zoet, zuur, wilde perzik, blauwe bessen, chocolade.. Er zit qua smaak vanalles in. Had iets dikker mogen zijn.

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter noe salt lakris, mørk sjokolade og noe bourbon. Fyldig. Smaker lett bitter brent karamell, bourbon og noe kakao. Middels lang.
