Bottle at home 15th October 2020. Pours a black rich looking liquid, a tan head, that recedes. Aroma is liquorice, aromatic, floral, honey. Taste is liquorice, honey, aromatic, maybe the heather from the honey, liquor, vanilla, bourbon, wood, a honey, earthy finish. Never too sweet, just multi layered and complex, very drinkable and a great sipper for the closing Autumn evenings.

Bottle. A dark brown beer with a small dark beige. A bit neutral aroma, well, not neutral in any way, but I expected a more intense one. Roasted malts, cocoa, wood, booze notes and a touch of licorice. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and soft on the palate, with dark flavors. Some blackcurrant showing up in the aroma after a while. The woody, boozy and vinous flavors also shows up after a while. Quite a lot of licorice root too, leading to a lightly sweet finish. Sure, it's a nice one, but a bit gentle I think. 200912
