Historical tick which I am adding as a rate so that I can see the impact it has on my stats. 500 Beers To Try Before You Die. Railway Inn, Winchester. It's fine.

Bottle from my local off licence’Wine Rack’. Pours a slightly hazy caramel brown colour with a thin off-white head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, biscuit and hints of floral. Taste is pretty much the same notes as the aroma with added notes of fruit cake, more floral and a bitter earthy hop finish. Medium bodied, slightly oily mouthfeel and a fairly long bitter hop aftertaste. Good

10/7/2019. Cask at Hamilton Hall, Liverpool Street Station. Pours slightly hazy pale amber with a lasting bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, tart citrus, berries and caramel. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with light and probably unintended tartness. Medium body, slight oily texture and soft carbonation. Vinegary edge. Potentially still being served past its prime.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - deep amber to red. Nice lacing on the head and it's well proportioned. Nose - toffee, honey, hobnob. Taste - stewed apple, grapes. Toffee ando biscuit comes through afterwards. Palate - close to medium bodied. Crunchy and tangy in texture. Long tapered finish and significant linger. Overall - good example of ESB style.
