This exclusive beer has been brewed based on the Plum Porter Grand Reserve recipe and is just as sweet and fruity, however more complexity is found from its strength and lingering taste from the Port added into the brew. Still famously deep red in colour with rich plum notes deftly masking the true depth of this porter with Port!

Пил его слегка вышедшего со срока годности, так что не уверен. Запах приятный, сливы. А вкус странный, с шелезкой и горечью лишней. Кароче нужен перетест.

Hand-pulled cask ale, half pint, shared with Finn. Almost black in the glass, shiny naked surface, scattered lacing. Attractive aromas, hints of berry skins and ripe plums. Rich and nicely blended flavours of chocolate, plums, earth, and dark berries, slightly woody. Smooth, long-lived tail, lightly roasted. Fine depth to it. Good drinking!

(First session, 44th Liverpool Beer Festival, Metropolitan Cathedral Crypt, 13.02.2025).

Cask at St Albans beer & cider festival 2023, St Albans, Herts. A dark ruby/brown coloured pour with a medium beige bubbly off white head on top. Rich, sweet, plum, berry fruit taste and aroma. Not getting much port in this but it's still a lovely drop on cask.

Bottle. Nose is very very plummy, jammy, maybe a little port, hit of blackberry. Taste is plum flavouring, surprisingly bitter, with licorice and a hint of aniseed, strawberry, jammy, blackberry, I really cant find much of the port barrel. Edit: My mistake it's port infused - who knows what that means practically. The basic Plum Porter I thought was very poor and this is not much better. The bottle suggests 'plum flavoring'. Whatever constitutes that syrup (I rather suspect the 'foodie flavours' product), dominates the beer with a thumping, powerful, note, like you would find in a soft drink. The port has no meaningful impact I can find. A fruit beer without fruit in the brewing process, and a short cut to get port flavours without barrel aging. It shows why proper brewers take time to the job properly; this is a genuinely terrible beer.
