Draught Thick, dense, light-cream head with textbook lace over rather muddy amberish-orange beer. Outspoken yeasty notes, fresh bready, superimposed on the classical De Koninck malty smell. Lightly sourish lining around the amber malts, with of course again many yeasty features, fresh, green esters. From two samples, one had the familiar Saaz coming through, the other as good as not until the very aftertaste. Thick, yeast-filled MF, slick, decent carbonation all the same. Yeast + bolleke... not bad.

From tap at the brewery. Pours unclear. Very hazy, darker amber than the regular de konink. Which is, of course. Very in line with the expectations. Smell Is rich, caramel, tad sweet, malty. Taste is intense, bit sweet, very caramelly, low carbonation. Crispy malts. Aromatic, tad metallic ( not like the off flavor metallic, more like a common taste I frequently get in Amber's or special belges, which isn't necessarily bad, but is in a way similar to metallic.) decent drinkin' beer.

Draft glass @ brewery. Amber hazy with nice creamy lacing lasting off-white head. Nose is raw wort, lots of grain but also oddly sweet with caramel & brown sugar + very watery. Taste is water, sweet grain, bread, very watery, thin, sugar, cane sugar, caramel, bread, raw wort, weird almost commercial lager feel. Too thin & watery for its own way too much, oddly even more than the regular version as I remember. More interesting oddly than an added value strange, just not that great despite all local hype, still cheap & it doesn’t have the metallic note at last that I usually get in the regular version, still thin, watery & poor.
