Draft. Poured dark with a beige head. Malty aroma, kind of sweet. Not really that memorable otherwise.

Bottle at a JFK Airport Bar, New York. Basic but proper classic Porter aroma of coffee, milk chocolate, roasted malt, and some caramel. Moderate sweet and roasty bitter, light creaminess. Medium body. Just good, invites drinking.

On tap at La Guardia. Pours a near clear dark brown with a yellowish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dark grains and light roast with a hint of chalky chocolate underlying. Flavor has earthy dark grains and musty roast with a touch of chocolate backing.

Pours pitch black with tan bubbles tracing up the side, little to no head. Aroma of toasted grain, herbal. Taste has more toasted grain notes, chocolate, barley, some hints of smoke. Palate has a watery mouthfeel and has more cocoa and smoke notes that linger on the nose. Good.
