Purchased as part of the Beers of America Historical Collection, contract brewed from original recipes. Nothing special at all here, nice golden color, no head and light lacing. Flavor is so light it’s almost non-existent. Reminds me of an American macro-brew from the 70’s, which is not a good thing....

12 oz. bottle from in-law’s fridge. Actually a decent pils color, with a moderate head. Faint but definite beer smell without off odors. Taste has some crystal or caramel aspect, but runs a little sweet. Further down, I pick up some medicinal processed taste. A pre-programmed novelty beer from Sam’s Club. What else did I expect?

Bottle. Sweet roasted barley aroma. Amber color with small head. Slightly sweet initially but then turns into a mess - soap and metallic flavors overwhelm the palate. Not good at all.

Bottle Pours a crystal clear light amber. Small off white head and actually quite nice heavy lacing. Aroma of sweet light malts. Honey and cereal. Flavor is sweet again and has notes of honey and paper. Lightly hopped, but then again that is how you probly should hop this beer. Moderatly carbonated and silight corn chex aftertaste. Not unpleasant. Pretty good for the style even.

Pours is yellow with no head. No aroma and no taste at all. I could be drinking water and could not tell any difference.

5/10/’04 They are selling this in a wooden box as "Historic Beers" My reasearch here at Ratebeer informs me this company has been out of business for two years!!!!! The creditors figured they could repackage it, haul it to where no one knows about the brewery being out of business and market a bunch of stale, out of date product and recoup some of their losses. Tastes like an old, average, American Light Lager. No Vienna here anyway.

Consider a Vienna eh? Well, I found it somewhat Viennaish and also Pilsnerish. It looks like a pilsner, and showed some promise, pouring bright yellow-gold with a natural looking thick rocky head. It even had a moderately spicy aroma. The flavor was strangely sweet though, with some mild caramel notes. Bitterness was light, and there was a slightly metallic aftertaste.

Dull straw, very slight haze and no head. Horrible communistic aroma with lots of phenols, rotting grains, apple. Watery body, lots of glue. Bland...I won’t go so far as to say inoffensive. This beer has a lot of problems. Old equipment, poor QC, that sort of thing. Like I said, communistic.
