On tap at Portside, pours a cloudy blonde with a medium white head. Nose brings out lots of wheat and cranberries. Flavour is identical, with lots of faded cranberries atop a wheat, citrusy body. Decent stuff, like all the Ephemere beers, just nothing special.

Bouteille 341ml.

Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a murky dark peach color with a large foamy yellow-white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was dryish and must with faint vague berries and a bit of pepper. The flavor was initially dry and musty followed by bread, sugar, tangy berry and honey. The finish was long and bready with lingering honey and berry. Moderately full bodied. Tasty.

Originally rated December 2002. Cloudy beige with medium head. Citrus aromas with smooth, fizzy and cozzy mouthfeel. Light cranberry taste behind the lees bitterness. Worth trying but does not beat its cousin, L’Ephemere with apple must.

Seems to be back. Got my c&c 750 from Liquid Solutions this week. Pours hazy gold with a three finger bubbly, fluffy white head. Aroma of wheat with cranberry notes. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is ... starts rather wheat, but cranberry overcomes it. The cranberry isn’t strong, but neither was the wheat. Very refreshing. I could just slosh this right down. Winter ale? I’d take it to the beach. Finish is arguably balanced. It’s not dry, and it’s not overly bitter. Most all impressions are indeed ephemeral. I’m enjoying the heck out of it. Especially since I thought I’d never have a chance to drink it. I’d do it again.
