A beer that could raise an empire from the bottom of the sea. This massively hopped double India pale ale features Citra, Mosaic, Idaho 7 and El Dorado hops. Dry hopped at 5 lbs. per barrel. Huge aroma and flavor with notes of melon, mango, papaya and a very mild bitterness.

Pours a light hazy yellow golden colour and a white head with reasonable retention and good lacing. Aroma's of tropical fruit (more sour than sweet), light resin. Retronasal there's dank hops, tropical fruits and some malty sweetness. Flavour is rather bitter and light sweet. Medium bodied. Finishes with herbal hops, dank, above moderate bitter.

Level 6 Bottleshare. Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, a nice light sweetness. Good orange and tangerine hops, bright and fruity with some peel bitterness underneath. Mandarin. Modest pine. Traces of pink grapefruit and tropical fruits. Light, clean, hoppy and crushable. I’m happy!

Pours a hazy, brown-mustard color, with rather small head. Aroma has some basement dankness, citrus, and tropical fruit elements. Flavor is pretty bready, with some nice pine/spruce hop bitterness upfront. There's some citrus and tropical fruit and a touch of butterscotch(?). Alcohol content is well-hidden. Smooth mouthfeel leads to a very bitter finish/aftertaste.

Fresh 16 oz. can purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Murky bright yellow is the standard appearance in 2017. Full cap cap of foamy white head. Aromas of dank citrus grapefruit, scallion, mango pulp. Taste is tropical fruit with a moderate grassy bitterness. Juicy texture, medium in body. The alcohol shows and it is not hidden but... It doesn't take away from the flavor.
I like Mast Landing as a whole. This Imperial IPA clearly exceeds anything else they have brewed up until this point. I hope that they have nailed down this recipe and it does not get tweaked. Very nice!
