Früher tranken die Arbeiter der Tuch- und Lederfabriken in Neumünster zur Stärkung vor der Arbeit gern das dunkle Bier der Brauerei D.H.Hinselmann. Unser "Dunkles Arbeiterbier" soll an diese Tradition erinnern. Wie damals mit einem vollmündigen Malzkörper und feiner Hopfennase. Wir lassen alte neumünsteraner Braukunst wieder aufleben. Man muss es aber nicht unbedingt zum Frühstück trinken...

Unclear dark amber brown with creamy head. Roasted malt, lemon, caramel, resin, lemon zest, some rubber and leather, iron. Dry sourish, zesty bitter and malty sweet. Medium bodied, oily watery texture, softer carbonated, dry zesty metallic malty bittersweet finish. Tasty Dunkel with depth and complexity almost at stout level.

Keg at the Malmo Taproom, Malmo, 18/11/22. Chestnut brown with a beige cap that thins to the edge. Nose is brown bread, nutty, herb, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises fruit slice, grains, dusty fruits, caramel, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Fine for the style.

Cloudy, dark brown color and a nice off-white head. Roasted malts, nuts, some caramel and toffee. Quite nice

Can 33 cl. Pours a clear, orangey brown with a creamy and lacing beige head. Nutty, slightly toasty nose. Medium body, sweet roast and a hint of licorice with a subdued bitterness. Again a faint hint of metal. Nice - but almost closer to a Brown Ale. 091221

24-01-21 // 330ml can. Really enjoyed this one tonight. Proper Dunkel. Fullbodied and smooth. Medium sweet. Roasted malts with light chocolate and minimal nutty, roasted chestnut. Proper bitterness.

0,33 l can from Erzengel. Thanks a lot! Dark copper and nearly clear in the glass with a big foamy light tanned head. Malty smell. Taste s starts also malty, nuts, fruity background, hints of metallic parts. Smooth. Low but present bitterness. Malty sweetness in the aftertaste. Nice.
