This classic Quad in rum barrels is a nod to the great Trappist brewers of Belgium. Deep ruby-brown in color, the beer is rich and full-bodied with the style's familiar dark fruit flavors, while the yeast creates a hint of spice. Rum barrels impart delicate sweetness and complexity to this beer that can be enjoyed today or cellared for years to come.

Bottle from the brewery shared with the Tasters Choice group. Somewhat hazy dark brown without much of a head. Sweet fruity bready caramel and raisin with a solid hit of warming alcohol and mild oak tannin. A little hot right now but lots of nice flavor in there.
