Sampled from a can this beer poured a black color with a small foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was roasty with vanilla, hot pepper, chocolate, nut and dough. The flavor was roasty with strong anise, ginger, chocolate, coffee, nut and hot pepper. The hot pepper grows with each sip but never overwhelms. Exceptionally long finish with lingering hot pepper. Moderately full bodied and smooth.
