Barrel-aged over-the-top ale like no other, with a truly magnificent character from aging in select whiskey barrels. Rich, aromatic, lively and dark, with layer after layer of roasted, toasted, and caramelized malts, beautifully balanced from the oak barrel. We've done our part, slamming the hammer down for freedom from alcohol limits.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with bourbon barrels, dark dried fruits, toffee, and burnt sugars. Flavour is loaded with liqueur-covered dark dried fruits, boozy bourbon, burnt sugars, and burnt caramel. Lots of bourbon- and liqueur-covered dark fruits. Amazingly well-integrated for such a monstrous ABV beer. Lovely.

Bottle split at the XmasKracker tasting, thanks to Dave, Watford 10/12/21. Light black with a good sized tan covering. Nose is chocolate, roast malts, good barrel vibes, fruit cake, dates. Taste comprises toffee, oak, whisky barrel, spice, dried fruit rinds. Full bodied and some, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a good coat of rising alcohol. Solid for the big boost on offer ... never to sweet and sips well.

Full bodied with fine carbonation. Hot alcohol finish, more cocoa, raisins, toasted caramel. Big, tasty, pretty hot.

Brown-black pour with a thin khaki head that recedes steadily to a dense film. Patchy lacing. Aroma of whiskey, dark fruit, malt and oak. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky whiskey, roast malt and chocolate covered raisin. The finish is oaky and boozy with a whiskey and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.

355ml bottle. Quasi black colour, a layer of tan bubbles on top. Intense, sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty aroma, notes of dark caramel, burnt caramel, molasses, some treacle, toffee, brandy, nougat, dark chocolate, Storck Riesen. Taste is sweet, alcoholic, dark and caramel malty, notes of dark caramel, burnt caramel, brandy, hints of toffee, a touch of nougat; lingering, warming alcoholic, a bit tacky finish. Viscous texture, smooth and soft palate. Quite extreme.
