Ember at IAH draught 10/31/22. Lightly hazy, bright golden-blonde. Medium, well-retained, white head. Smells juicy with mango, lemon, tangerine and clean yeast. Touch of honey-like malt and no alcohol or resin. Good aroma strength. Some strong ester and a bit thinner than expected with some strong bitterness on the finish. Honey and cracker malt, bubble gum, lemon and orange with light pine and mild resin on the finish. Alcohol apparent with warming.

On tap pours out hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is tropical fruit hops some nice citrus. Taste is more of the nice sweet tropical citrus hops and a pineapple end.

Clear gold with a decent white head. Light pine and earthy notes. Tastes much the same. Nothing special, just a bit of pine and bitterness.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 5/24/2019. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance; and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal lingering resins through the glass. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a delicious IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Awesome Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo profile. Very juicy, and lightly dank/earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced bready wheat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Feels pretty close to an NEIPA. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example.
