Draft. A hazy golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of pomegranate, wheat, brett, and funk. The flavor is sour with notes of pomegranate, brett, funk, and malt, leading to a very dry finish.

Hazy amber. Aroma is citric fruit mandarin a hint of funk from the horse blanket kind lots of underlying wheat juice. Taste is rather sweet pleasant fruity at first but very sour in the back and after swallowing. Complex funk but the sweetness seems to be a little too different. Still pleasantly drinkable.

Bottle from the monthly club. Orangey hazy amber, medium thin head, consumed while watching Archer after a warm-up with Hindafing and Space Force. Smooth sour aroma. Flavor is packed with surprises: very complex subtle sugary notes leading into the smooth fruity farmhouse acidity, capped by a transition to hop bitterness. Really wow.

500 ml can into tulip glass, best before 3/12/2020. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy pomegranate, cherry, cranberry, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and biscuit dough; with lighter notes of honey, peppercorn, musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of pomegranates, fruity/acidic/funky/spicy yeast, and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy pomegranate, cherry, cranberry, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and biscuit dough; with lighter notes of honey, peppercorn, musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and Brett spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy pomegranate, cherry, cranberry, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, biscuit dough light peppercorn/musty/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of pomegranates, fruity/acidic/funky/spicy yeast, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic tart/tart/spiciness, and tangy fruit balance; with zero pucker/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering tart/tangy/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/acidic/tangy/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an incredible fruited sour/wild ale. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of pomegranates, fruity/acidic/funky/spicy yeast, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Fantastically soft feel, and not overly lactic. Amazing balance of juicy/jammy pomegranates, Brett/Lacto complexity, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Light residual sweetness with lingering acidic/tangy dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example. The Blackcurrant/Raspberry versions are still the best in the series.
