From the heart of Russian Decadence: St. Petersburg-based collaboration of Pühaste (Estonia) and AF Brew (Russia). Twisted version of one of the top Estonian dark beers: vicious imperial stout aged on prune soaked in hand-made absinthe.

On tap at Brewdog Tallinn, pours jet black with a medium dark brown head. Aroma is intensely boozy and perfumey, with lots of absinthe, alcohol and vanilla. Flavour is insanely intense and abrasive, with lots of absinthe, dark fruits, alcohol and medium roast. I didn't think absinthe could work its way well into a beer. It's way too boozy - tastes like it's 20%. But despite that, it's a fun beer.

Sampled draft @ TCBW 2018. Black, little head. Nose is too much barrel, way too alcoholic, the absinthe that explains that. Too boozy but some actual chocolate fruit, berry but the harsh alcohol & varnish ruins it for me.

Tap at TCBW. Opaque colour, medium-sized brownish head. Toasted has lots of wood, sweetness. Full-bodied. Sweet, liquer konfekt, wood in the flavour. Demanding.

Draught @ Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend 2018. Sweet, boozy and heavy with some licorice, wood, oak and herbal notes. A bit unbalanced.
