SEASONALLY UNEXPECTED WET-HOPPED JUICY ALE
Hops are good, fresh hops are better, wet hops are best. We say 'wet hops' because they have not been dried after harvest. We say 'better' because they possess the fullest expression of hop flavor; vine-fresh. Since harvest only occurs one time a year, achieving year-round wet-hop flavor has become the Holy Grail pursuit of hoppy brewing. Our quest led us to develop a new hop liquification process which Born Again Yesterday first proved damn-near divine. Today we're changing things further: bringing that Seasonally Unexpected wet-hop flavor to an unfiltered, juicy nectar that's somewhere between a solid and a liquid... a Phase Change of sorts.

(Can) Hazy amber colour with frothy, tan head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of mango, dried pineapple, apricot marmalade, peaches, honey, herbs and a touch of sponge cake. Fruity, hoppy taste with mango, honey, dried pineapple, orange peel, tropical fruit, white bread and a balanced citric/resiny bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Fruity, hoppy and fresh. Nice one.

Can from Systembolaget. It was certainly more haze and juice than usual lagunitas but had their distinctive taste still. West Coast vibes too. It was good but notging cray.

Old Skool IPA. The Aromas and flavors are a nice balance between fresh hops resin hops for the touch of citrus and malt with a hint of caramel good body carbonation and just the right sweet to Bitter ratio.

Pours amber with a white head. Aroma of sweet citrus, guava. Taste has lemon, citra brightness, simcoe. Palate has melon, dry palate, smooth, juicy. I'd describe it as a break from typical laguinitas products.

Hazy bronze color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of grassy hop, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of floral hops, tropical fruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

A touch hazy, deep copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish one to two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of candy, citrus, mild tropical fruits with a touch of resin and grass and a fairly good support of malt underneath. Medium-bodied; Strong rich candy, resin, pine and floral profile with a very nice malt backbone and a light bitterness from the hops at the end, but fairly well-balanced. Aftertaste is relatively straight-forward with some candy, sugar, malt, yeast and only a dry light hoppiness and a tiny orange and citrus notes at the very end that goes down fairly easily. Overall, a very easy-going and relatively simplistic beer with some fresh hop notes, a dash of sweetness from candy sugar and especially resin and some supportive malt with yeast and flowers also coming through. Decent to try, but not as good as I was expecting or matching the quality of other Lagunitas beers in the past, even prior to them selling out. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 28-April-2020 for US$3,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-May-2020.

Canned, from Systembolaget. Hazy golden, small head. Aroma of pineapple and peach. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by mixed tropical fruit juice. Low bitterness. Sterile and one dimensional.
