Citrus Cove captures the salty spray of an ocean wind mingled with a bright tropical character that begs one refreshing sip after the other. Crisp, lemon citrus acidity leads the way to a nice, dry, salt and lime zest finish. The result is a surprisingly fresh take on the classic Gose style, turning all hours into happy hour.

Can. Clear gold with a small white head. Smells like a citrus energy drink. Moderately sweet, barely sour with pleasantly tangy wheat and a dryish, moderately salty finish. Refreshing, but one is plenty.

12 ounce can thanks to my sister K! From the can. Aroma of salt and lime. Taste is lime popsicles, doughy malt, mild salt. Thin.

12oz can. Sort of odd, intense lemon-lime oil aroma. Thin body, easy drinker. More along the lines of a Hard Lemonade or Radler. Watery, bland. Leans too much into the artificialish flavors, lacks much beer quality. Mediocre cheese-dickery.

Bottle/Fest. A- Lime. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Lime, salt, wheat. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, fruity finish. O- Lime overload in this one. I get the point but it's almost like a cheap margarita. Sorta refreshing.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 5/10/2019. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus fruit, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tang/tartness; light zesty bitterness, and coriander spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus fruit, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness, tangy fruit, and spiciness balance; with zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tartness, tangy fruit, and spiciness after the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy, and lightly sticky/saline balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is an outstanding gose! All all around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus fruit, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish; not overly lactic/salty. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Perfectly balanced vibrant citrus, Lacto complexity, coriander, salt, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
