Can (no date found) pour from Valley Beverage Company, Sherman Oaks. Appearance is opaque yellow-light brown (grapefruit juice) with no sparkle, thin cap of off-white head with poor retention and very light leggy lacing. Aroma is sweet candied fruit, citrus. Taste is sweet fruit--berries, melon, citrus, stone fruit, dark fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, thick, granular, foamy texture, average carbonation and crisp, fairly dry, bittersweet finish as taste. Overall, nice attributes across the board, especially appearance, taste and mouthfeel.

Sweet and oily, vegetal with odd solvent notes accenting the grapefruit-passion fruit-berry from the hops. Medicinal bitterness leads to building astringency; the hop burn runs deep in this pint. Not sure what beer the other raters have been tasting; this thing's an utter mess. Label gives good competition to Brown Note for most unpleasant packaging.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released locally. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/amber/light orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, honey, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 9.3%. Overall this is a fantastic NEDIPA. All around fantastic citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Nicely soft feel, and not aggressive. Feels like Galaxy, Citra, Simcoe. Extremely juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balancing wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example.

16oz can pours a hazy orange, frothy white head. Nose has tangerine and orange and booze, cheesy, like Mac and Cheese powder, melon schnapps. Flavor has a little hot sauce, more processed cheese, melon, orange, some tropical schnapps. Full bodied, boozy and bitter. 8 3 8 4 14
