Draft glass @ Põrgu. Red hued black, solid creamy tanned head. Nose is smoked tea, bacon, grainy, smoked bark & coffee. Thick oily smoked tea, bbq, bark, plastic, thick oil, low molasses, low butter but doesn’t hurt,… Thick tea, faint plastic body, low flaws but the smoke works through it all.

On tap at P�rgu, pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out smoked malt, light pear and a touch of roast. Flavour is nicely rounded, with plenty of smoke upfront, followed by toasted malt, peat and a hint of toasted caramel. Dry, peated body. Good stuff.

On tap at Põrgu, Tallinn. Clear dark chestnut coloured with a modest, off-white to beige head. Malty and smoky with mild bonfire and caramel notes, some dark fruits and hints of wood. Moderate to medium sweet with smoky and malty flavours and a moderate bitter finish. Tap @ Põrgu. Pours dark brown, almost black with some brown foam on the top. Nice head that stays for a bit. Roast and smoke in the nose , some leather. Soy sauce. Taste has smoke, leather and good burnt bread roast. Medium bodied, good bitterness that is well balanced with roast character. Decent and not overpowering smoked beer. Surprisingly good.

Tap at põrgu (thanks marduk). Pours black with brownish head. Aroma is smoke, bacon, roast, malt, salt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, chocolate, roast, malt, smoke, bread. Finish is roast bitter. Overall: love the aroma, taste is just good.
