Can. A- Orange drink powder. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, no head. T- Orange, powdery, salty, tangy. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- A bit of a let down. I think this can might have been a bit old but the orange was very week. Just not comparable to other stuff I've had from UA.

Looks like Pinwheel changed from a beer with kumquats to one with oranges. Backlog rating from 2019. Aroma is of oranges with tart, salty notes. The flavor is pleasantly tart with oranges, salt, and coriander. Good.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/23/2019. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of juicy, lightly tart/tangy oranges, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light vanilla/peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of oranges, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, salt, moderate pale/wheat malts, and light vanilla notes; with solid strength. Taste of juicy, lightly tart/tangy oranges, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light vanilla/peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; light coriander spiciness, and zesty bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/tart/tangy oranges, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light vanilla/peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of oranges, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, salt, moderate pale/wheat malts, and light vanilla flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tartness, tangy fruit, and coriander spiciness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic/tangy, and lightly sticky/saline balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a delicious fruited gose. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of oranges, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, salt, moderate pale/wheat malts, and light vanilla flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink; with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish. Not overly lactic or salty. very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome balance of juicy oranges, Lacto complexity, coriander, salt, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example.

Average, with an initial burst of orange zest, tart berry, and citric acid, turning to briny yeastiness on the back end and a fairly bland, slightly sweet fade. In dire need of depth. Eh.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish straw gold with a finger of white foam. Fruit forward nose with what I suspect is kumquat...some faint citrus and light dried peach notes. Light and refreshingly tart on the palate, but doesn't really go much of anywhere. Highly drinkable...nice enough. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pinwheel on 30 Mar 2019 at 00:24 - Score: 7. Original review text: Light and fruity but a bit thin. Restrained tartness is nice.
