Can from GBBF 2019 and drunk at home. Hazy gold orange colour thin white head. Citrus aroma. Lemon. Some ginger spice but mostly citrus flavours and lemon. Some bitterness on the finish.. Some lemon curd. Yes I liked it fairly easy drinking. A bit fizzy.

12oz can. Unfiltered, sort of thick looking, orange-tan body. Foamy, soapy, white head. Ginger and somewhat muted hop aroma. Not really a beverage I would want to sip on, and I love both kombucha and IPA. Something about the ginger and the sour makes me think cider. Aspirin dry tones, doesn't do it for me at all.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/20/019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, red grapefruit, ginger, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, tea, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of hay, straw, white vinegar, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hops, fruity/acidic kombucha, lemon, ginger, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, red grapefruit, ginger, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, tea, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with lighter notes of hay, straw, white vinegar, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness, ginger spiciness, and kombucha tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, red grapefruit, ginger, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, tea, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, hay, straw, white vinegar, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, fruity/acidic kombucha, lemon, ginger, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness and tart/tangy kombucha balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness, and tart/tangy kombucha. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy/acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a delicious fruity/spiced IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/earthy hops, fruity/acidic kombucha, lemon, ginger, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and moderately crisp/refreshing to drink; with the modestly bitter/spicy/tart/tangy/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Not overly lactic/vinegary from the kombucha. Feels like classic C hops. Perfectly balanced juicy/vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops, kombucha, lemon, and ginger spice; with a nice solid pale/wheat malt backbone against bitterness/acidity. Minimal residual sweetness from crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive experimental style blend all around. Not overwhelming on any aspect.
