Spotty cover on a near black coloured body.
Liquorice, toffee & boozy aroma.
Full bodied, smooth oily & greasy with a clean back.
Biscuit, toffee, coconut & raisin tastes with a big boozy finish.
Cracker.

Tasty stout, with lovely notes of dark chocolate, anise, cherry, and roast, backed up by hints of vanilla, cake, and plenty of dark-roast coffee. Finishes with a healthy dose of char, coffee cherry, and cacao. Never grows sweet, and the feel is smooth and creamy, not a trace of the massive ABV. Good beer.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. Dense, jet black espresso pour, tons of loose, dark brown foam head. Huge roast, semi sweet milk chocolate and pastry underneath, but the roast covers. A bit of a nutty constant. Almond. Cocoa, coffee, vanilla. Smooth body, with a flavorful roast. Nowhere near a 12 in strength for my taste. Too smooth and simply delicious. What a brew this is!

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a large fluffy dark brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was strong coffee, cocoa, bread dough, malt and marshmallow. The flavor was strong cocoa and coffee with anise, floral hops, booziness, marshmallow and roasty malt. Long cocoa finish. Thick and creamy body.
I expected coffee mess but actually sorta tastes like if you lost your donut in a cup of coffee, or maybe it's just vanilla + coffee. It was an enjoyable surprise to a long work day. Oh crap I drank this after midnight.

16 ounce can. Midnight black pour. Brief tan head. Nose is charred malt and espresso. First sip is roasted malt, dark roast coffee and bittersweet chocolate. Sticky mouthfeel. Big and sweet. Pairs nicely with a steaming hot Hot Pockets at midnight.

16 oz can from Tavour. Nose is roasted coffee with hints of cocoa and char. Black with a very tin cinnamon tan head. Flavor is lightly sweet coffee with a little cream. Pretty good stuff.

From Notes Can from tavour. Inky black in color with a thin tan head that dissipates almost instantly. Rich roasty coffee and chocolate notes with bits of caramel earth and dark dried fruits to counter. Sticky mouthfeel light carbonation. Pretty nice sipper.

16 oz can from Tavour. Pours blacl, little bit of head disappears. Aroma is all roast, coffee and dark chocolate. Taste brings milk sugar, light vanilla and other sugary flavors (that must be the donuts). Bitter up front, sweet at the back.
