Bottle. Pours a clear orange gold with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is fruity hop, pine, hemp. Medium mouthfeel with nice resin and light bitter finish. Good.

Draft@ The Grill next Door for $7.00. As the bartender set down the tulip I could smell floral hops and pine before I raised the glass to my face. Some candy sugar there as well. The flavor is dead on the aroma with a pronouced pine needle in the finish. Bready malt shows hints of toffee to help balance the hops. Bitterness is not over whelming, subtle pine. Really easy drinking for an ABV over 8.5. Damn, this is highly drinkable! Well crafted imperial that is real desriable on draft.

Rcvd in trade.
The appearance has a somewhat of a hazy dark brown colored body with a one fingered white foamy head that leaves some adequate clingy lacing that seems to be going all over the place.
The smell has resinous hops with a nice citrusy aspect to it and also some nice spicy connotations to it as well.
The taste has a bittersweet hoppy to sweet flavoring and combined all of the way through in the flavoring to leave a decent resinous aftertaste with a slight dry spicy finish.
The palate sits about a medium on the body, not as sessionable as I had hoped for but did notice the 8.7% on the bottle so I guess I should have noticed that. Carbonation is good for the DIPA style and good for me.
Overall, I would definitely take this one again if ever offered or have the opportunity to spend some more time back in Maine. To anyone visiting Maine, please don’t forget about Rising Tide often under-shadowed by Maine Beer Company.

Pours hazy copper into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Resin and mango aromas. Sweet molasses and oak front to back turning slightly sour in the lasting malt finish.
