Pouring a deep ruby with a dark pink head, this light-bodied ale features huge fruity flavors of black currant with a dry, tart finish.

Can sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Max. Nice deep red, pink head. Blackcurrant, jam, sweet, sourish hint, bitterish touch.

Canned, at Valhalla, Zagreb. Courtesy of Zubo. Shared with him and others. Dark purple, pinkish head. Lots of dark berries, bit lactic, malty, tart. Sweetish. Medium bodied.

Tap at bowsers. Pretty purple hue with a light purple pink head. Nice presentation. Smell is a little volatile, like medicine. Taste is at first a dull fruit beer then the tartness arrives inthe middle. Grows on you. Not bad in the end. Better than your average fruit beer.

Canned 473ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Deep ruby red/purple coloured, small to medium sized bloody red coloured, light currant nose. Sweetish malty, caramel, light acidic currant and some berries with light dusty finish. So so.

Can bought and drank at Frontier Brewing and Taproom.
Looks blood red to me, the foam is dark pink. Good lacing while the foam is around.
Smells fruity, it's been ages since I have had black currants. Mild sour and mild sweetness going on.
Taste is pretty balanced with the sweet notes perhaps being slightly more noticeable than the sour. Delicious to me and very drinkable.
Light body with light carbonation.
I reckon I like it more than the majority and I am okay with that.

Pint can. Pours out a deep thick dark purple with a purple foamy head. Seems to be pretty close to WELCH’s grape juice. A little tartness. May not have known this was beer. Interesting experiment I guess.

$3.50 pint can, Beer Run. Pours very deep red with a soft deep red head. Aroma is bitter berry, light earth, green leaf. Flavor is bitter black currant, metal, green leaf, dust.Though I'm not a fan of overly sweet things, this might work better sweet.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released. Pours slightly hazy dark ruby red/purple color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky dark pink head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy black currants, fruit skin/seeds, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape/wine, wheat, white bread dough, and toasted biscuit; with light notes of brown sugar, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of currants, fruity yeast, bready malts, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy black currants, fruit skin/seeds, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape/wine, wheat, white bread dough, and toasted biscuit; with light notes of brown sugar, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light fruit tang/tartness; and mild herbal, grassy hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy black currants, fruit skin/seeds, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape/wine, wheat, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of currants, fruity yeast, bready malts, and light earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and fruit tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, fairly acidic/tangy, and lightly sticky/tannic mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.4%. Overall this is an excellent fruit beer. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of currants, fruity yeast, bready malts, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish. Awesome balance of juicy/jammy currants, fruity yeast, and bready malts; with mild earthy hop presence against sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
