This beer is a cloudy golden color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lace. Aroma of citrus, vanilla and wheat. Light-bodied with an orange and vanilla character with some wheat and bready malt notes. The finish is oranges and vanilla. Above average overall.

Not my bag. Orange juice mixing with an uber-tart lactic sour base grows way too acidic and aggressive, with vanilla bean sweetness adding an unwanted wine cooler-ish sugary backbone I just can't get behind. Oats add a nice, full softness to the texture, but otherwise skippable.

12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours moderate hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with poor retention, that reduces to a ring of lace eventually. Minimal spotty lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge blood orange juice, tart lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, white wine, vanilla, cream, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread dough, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of oranges, fruity/acidic yeast, vanilla, lactose, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge blood orange juice, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, white wine, vanilla, cream, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread dough, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness in the mouthfeel. Lingering notes of blood orange juice, tart lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, white wine, vanilla, cream, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread dough, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of oranges, fruity/acidic yeast, vanilla, lactose, and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance, with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy/bready/acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an outstanding fruited Berliner weisse! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of oranges, fruity/acidic yeast, vanilla, lactose, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/drying finish, not overly lactic. Awesome balance of juicy oranges and Lacto complexity; with a nice oat/malt/lactose backbone against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
