Sprussel werd gebrouwen met onze vrienden van Stockholm Brewing Company. Het is een Saison gebrouwen met een dubbel Scandinavisch invloed: het bevat rogge, een graan dat typisch is voor Noordse brouwers, en het is licht gearomatiseerd met sparknoppen die geplukt werden door Michel en zijn team in de Zweedse bossen. 5,8% alcohol, amberkleurig, licht troebel. Fijne en persistente schuim. Licht hoppig, met klassieke hops die kruidachtige en fruitige aroma’s ontwikkelen. De rogge is goed herkenbaar in de smaak en geeft een kruidige toets. De toevoeging van de sparknoppen is subtiel maar goed aanwezig, met een kamferachtige en licht harsachtige toets zowel als accenten van pijnnaalden die perfect samengaan met het aroma van bittere sinaasappel gebracht door de hops.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy golden/orange with a medium white head. Aroma of mild yeast, light spices and pine. The same in the taste, also some grass. The body was medium and the bitterness light. A decent one.

Flaska från Systembolaget. Drucken på tåget i en pappersmugg. Gyllenfärgad aningen disig med högt skum. Gräsig och lite kryddig doft med lite lagertouch. Torr och krispig men ändå mjuk i munnen. Lite kryddig med mineraler, rågbröd, knäckebröd och en liten touch av granskotten. Gott

Bottle from Etre Gourmet. Hazy orange colour, white foam. Dry, bitter, grassy, pine, spruce. Taste is dry and bitter, light sweet hints, notes of pine needles. Nice one.

Flaska. Det här var något av en besvikelse från ett av mina favoritbryggerier. Malten är tung, med inslag av knäckebröd och karamell. Jästen bidrar med strävhet. Humlen är endimensionell och för tankarna till torkad oregano och där finns också en gnutta citrus.

Amber, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, yellowish head.
Aroma of spices, hay, flowers, citrus, red berries, dough, some herbs, slight biscuit.
Tastes quite similar, while sweeter, with some honey, some bubblegum.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes quite sweet, medium bitter, a bit dry, hoppy, moderate spicy, floral, fruity, a bit piney, with the honey and bubblegum notes again.
Very nice. The nose is typical for DLS, very crisp, with distinct hops and hay. Taste is surprisingly sweet, maybe slightly too much, while still smooth and balanced, with a nice creaminess to it. Really quaffable, while not among their best Saisons for me.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Hazy golden mid sized head. Grassy, spicy nose. Dry with light-medium body and crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Spicy and minerally with crisp bread. Long bitter finish. Both the yeast and the spruce character are subtle. Nice.

Orange och disig med tätt skum. Lätt karamellig doft med inslag av granbarr och jäst. Smakar jäst, gran, mint och en aning hallon följt av en bra beska.
De kunde ha skippat granen.
