The genesis of the beer you’re holding in your hand was pretty simple. We asked ourselves, “What if a beer tasted like an oatmeal raisin cookie?” The answer to our rhetorical question was to add raisins, lactose and cinnamon to Maduro, our English-style Brown Ale, a beer that showcases flavors of caramel, toffee and chocolate. The combination of the base beer and the additional ingredients resulted in a beer that tastes like it was baked in Grandma’s oven.

Thanks grandmother to give me an original brown ale, remembering the sweetness of this season, warm side of Indian chai, cynamon, biscuits, ginger bread, raisin and a lot of generous flavour, hop that it is classical at the final, 15.12.2020, drinking it at Epalinges

Pours a medium brown. Cinnamon, malts and hints of spice. Very flavorful for the abv and more enjoyable than heavy hitters of the same ilk.

Can. When I opened the can.....oh my what a great aroma. The taste was great also. But after the aroma it didn't quite live up to it.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is true oatmeal cookie with lots of spicy cinnamon, brown malts, toast, caramel, touch of cocoa powder, vanilla, more cinnamon thoughout. Flavour is fairly sweet with a moderate bitter. Body is medium. Delivers as promised and then some.

(Can) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, oatmeal cookies, dried fruit, raisins, tobacco, nuts and chocolate. Malty, caramelly taste with notes of oatmeal cookies, raisin, cinnamon, nuts, tobacco, chocolate and a low bitterness in the finish. Slightly metallic. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fairly straight-forward, tasty, but a bit more of a fancy candy beer, than a masterpiece. Still, nice one.

Dark brown colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have something like Tonka and/or cinnamon. I smell the raisin but don't taste it. Tonka cinnamon type things don't work for me.

Can @ Bakgården. Clear deep brown body under a dense tan head. Aroma has malt, caramel, dry fruit and slightly spiced. Taste is rather sweet with smooth malt, caramel, toffee, dry fruit and some Christmas cake kind of spicy. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice and tasty, but a bit too sweet in the long run.
