75 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Ruby read with an off-white head. Malty aroma with red and dark fruits and faint bourbon notes. Taste is sweet with a vinous quality to it. Full bodied with some whisky notes in the finish. Quite satisfactory with a grilled entrecote at the Christmas dinner.

21/XI/17 - on tap @ Horeca Expo (Ghent) - BB: n/a (2017-1932) Thanks to the brewers for today's samples and my Ghent beer posse for sharing the glasses and keeping my liver sane. :p
Clear amber to purple brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, bit sweet, caramel, dried fruits, sweetish, chocolate notes. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: creamy texture, lots of chocolate, sweet, soft bitterness, lots of alcohol, caramel, spicy touch. Aftertaste: alcohol, bit sweet, spicy, bitter touch, alcohol, malty. Definitely the best Wilderen beer so far.
