Bottle at Bernie's Brugge. Dark plums brown colour lasting beige head. Good dark fruits aroma. Smooth in the mouth. More dark fruits. Some sting from the whisky. Jammy fruits. Pretty intense. Smooth

Bottle picked up from Mr Hop webshop, Vernray, Netherlands and consumed at home Sunday 23rd November 2025 after a nice walk up to the local Gasthof zum Sonnenwald and a decent but not great Camarão na Moranga meal (a meal that is pumpkin stuffed with prawns, onions, tomatoes etc). Anyway onto the beer, poured a reddish brown with a fast disappearing head, a little tangy, whisky shows, light tart fruity edge. Good but not amazing.

Fles gedeeld door BartvG tijdens de Sinterklaas middag met familie. Het is een licht troebel robijnrood bier met een medium beige schuim. Het heeft een aroma van hout en een hint whisky. De smaak is vol, warm, fruitig, vanille, hout en whisky.

Roodbruin donker bier met schuim. Smaak is fruitig en licht bitter met iets van bessen, wat rode wijn, rozijnen en een klein beetje whiskey. Een fijn en opwarmend bier.

On tap. Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate foamy head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruit and bready malts. Flavors follow same with very subtle barrel effects and a big creamy malt influence. Nice.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with very slight head. Aromas of dark fruit, oak, orange peel, subtle whiskey, and sharp toasted malts. Flavors follow same with some additional candi sugar, although finish is nice and dry. Very good.

330ml. Amber colour, small beige head. Light whiskey aroma. Medium-bodied. Whiskey, prunes, raisins, caramalt in the flavour. Old school Belgian with whiskey touch. Warming finish.

Deep amber colour, off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, with mild toffee and some slight wooden and mild whiskey tones to it. Flavour is caramel, toffee, whiskey and some mild sweet alcohol to it. Quite pleasant.

Bottle from a supermarket. Sweet brown malts with candy sugar, caramel, Belgian yeast, spicy notes, dried fruits, raisins. A hint of whisky infusion. Sweet flavour with a light bitterness, long sweet yeasty finish. Not bad, but I expected to taste more of the whisky.
