Rupture was born out of our obsession with getting the most out of each and every hop. In fact, we built a machine in our brewery to incorporate a unique fresh grind process. By grinding the whole hop we “rupture” the lupulin inside – releasing the oils that give the beer its flavor. And what we grind that day we use that day. Leaving you a beer that’s fresh, aromatic, with a bright hoppy character.

355ml can. Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of biscuit malt, tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, peach, papaya and melon. Sweet fruity flavour of biscuit malt, tangerine, grapefruit, lime, pineapple, apricot, peach, mango, melon, papaya and light pine in a crisp, dry, mild bitter, spicy hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Enjoyable and very drinkable.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Sun Prairie, 2/20/19. Hazy amber, thin head, poor retention. Aroma of grain, lemony hops. Taste is lemon, tropical fruit, toffee malt. Medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness. Old school, a a bit off balance, but decent.

Always ready to try a new IPA, optimism springs eternal. Purchased at the nearest craft beer store in the fall, needs a try. I use a handled beer glass and find an opaque, medium-yellow body topped by a strong inch and a half of near white foam. The scent comes to me, lemon-citrus and grassy. The taste, even better, a strong slug of hoppy bitterness, lime, grapefruit, a touch of pine. Very pleasant, very inviting.
