Rupture was born out of our obsession with getting the most out of each and every hop. In fact, we built a machine in our brewery to incorporate a unique fresh grind process. By grinding the whole hop we “rupture” the lupulin inside – releasing the oils that give the beer its flavor. And what we grind that day we use that day. Leaving you a beer that’s fresh, aromatic, with a bright hoppy character.

Can pour into shaker pint glass from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. Appearance is clear yellow with mild sparkle, small head and fair lacing. Aroma is citrus, resin. Taste as aroma, malt backbone, only a light amount of bitterness. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, average carbonation and sweet citrus offset with lightly bitter finish. Overall, not getting a revolutionary amount of hop character. It's OK but not spectacular.

12oz can. Real solid classic West Coastish IPA. Bold and pleasantly bitter, there is also a solid malt bill as well. Pleasant juiciness, but also some deep rindy bitterness, which really is enjoyable compared to the plethora of soft fruity IPAs on the market now. Classic, well made stuff.

Draft @ Banger Brewing Company, Las Vegas, NV. Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity grassy grapefruit hoppy aroma. Fruity malty grassy hoppy grapefruit bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty grassy grapefruit hoppy bitter finish.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce can into pint glass, best before 3/22/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, zesty, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an outstanding American pale ale! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; extremely smooth and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank hops; perfectly balanced bready malts. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Pours a clear, golden yellow, with rather smallish head. Aroma of citrus and hops--got a touch of rotting fruit as I was pouring. Flavor is very bitter, with tons of pine/spruce, oily hoppiness, almost infused into the beer. Pretty smooth drinking with a bitter finish/aftertaste. I think this has potential, but could use a bit more work.

Sampled from the tap at Timberline Denver Airport. Pours a clear yellow with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has resin and sweet grains with a bit of pine underlying. Flavor combines resin and sweet grains and has some pine underlying.

Shaker pint draft at Red Door in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is a clear golden with a one inch white head that is lasting. The aroma is soft, fresh hops - citrus, pine and floral. Behind the hops there is a nice cereal malt. The taste is a clean fresh balance of the hops and the malt, with resin joining the citrus, pine and floral hop aspects. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and the resin mineral finish. Soft all around, no bitterness present. Odell always knows how to use their hops.

On draft at the Handle Bar in Jackson Hole. Pours a clear gold with big white head. Aromas of pine and citrus. Flavors are moderately bitter with some soapy notes. Still good though.
