Very clear but deep and dark ruby tinted, copper coloured body with a nice, three to four centimetre tall off-white and tan head that covers the beer nicely and stays afloat for a while. Aroma of deep and dank grapfruit notes with some orange peel as well, but the bitterness just from the fruit is outstanding in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Very fresh grapefruit and citrusey flavours show at first with a nice grassy and herbal characteristic and a dry, bitter hoppiness from the alpha acids here with a soft malt component and good balance of very light sugars at the end. Aftertaste is dry, super bitter from both the hops and the grapefruit itself and leaving the palate almost soured for the next sip. Overall, a nice and dry, grassy, herbal and very grapefruity beer with more hops than malts of course, but a great balance throughout and the grapefruit really complements the hops nicely with this one throughout. Overall, a great beer for the summer and one to try and find or get regularly if you enjoy hoppy and bitter IPAs, as this really adds to the quotient. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 11-April-2018 for US$9,99/six pack, sampled at my house here in Washington in May 2018.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More, Danvers. Appearance is lightly hazy orange-yellow with decent sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with decent retention and fair soapy lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, astringent citrus, herb, candied sugar. Taste is grapefruit, orange, sugary malt base. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, average carbonation and tangy finish as taste. Overall, a light and sessionable impression given the ABV. Sweet hops. Decent.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 1/23/2018. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big juicy ruby red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, grapefruit, and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy ruby red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of ruby red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, grapefruit, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop/fruit astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.3%. Overall this is very nice fruited IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, grapefruit, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish, never overly aggressive. Galaxy, Chinook, and Citra hops. Great balance of juicy, vibrant, and dank hops/fruit; nice bready Munich malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. Equally as impressive as the other two Hop Nosh. A very enjoyable offering.

12 oz bottle at Sushi Uni in Lenexa, Kansas. Best before 01/21/18. The pour is a hazed orange with a touch of pink and a bunch of carbonation bubbles rising up to a foamy white head. The aroma is bright grapefruit citrus, both the fruit and the bitter peel. The taste is a nice balance of the grapefruit peel and fruit hop and clean fresh cracker malt towards the back. The palate is light to medium bodied with an unfiltered mouthfeel, and the bitter grapefruit clean finish. Easy drinking, nice version of the style.
